If you are considering submitting a project which fits the areas in which we are interested in receiving proposals, please contact Robert Sloss.

Robert and the IVCC Public Health Products team will review your initial proposal and if they decide it fits an area where we are seeking new projects, we will send you a copy of the Outline Project Specification.

The IVCC Public Health products management team will work with you to develop this. Once complete it will be submitted for review by the Public Health Products External Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC), which meets twice a year.  The proposal will be reviewed at the earliest possible meeting and you should attend in person.

The ESAC will review the project on the basis of technical, commercial and portfolio criteria and make one of three possible recommendations:

  1. The project will be recommended for development into a full budgeted proposal.
  2. A proof of concept study should be carried out to show whether the technical proposition has potential for a full project proposal.
  3. The project will not be recommended for further development by the IVCC.

A copy of the ESAC recommendations will be sent to you.

If successful, the IVCC Public Health Products team will send you a copy of the Complete Project Specification

This includes a detailed MS Project plan and a detailed project budget. The purpose of this document is to describe the proposed project in detail and clearly state how much this is going to cost to fund. Once complete it will be submitted for review by the Public Health Products ESAC.  Again, the proposal will be reviewed at the earliest possible meeting and you should attend in person.

The ESAC will review the project on the basis of the project plan, the budget and whether it fits into the IVCC portfolio. The ESAC will either recommend the project is taken into the portfolio or not, subject to satisfactory contractual agreements being signed.

A copy of the ESAC recommendations will be sent to you.  If successful, provided the Executive Committee agree to accept the project into the portfolio and once contractual agreements have been signed, the project can commence.
