Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC) supports vector control innovation with $4.44 million grant over four years.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant, $85 million over 5 years.

IVCC championed the creation of the Vector Expedited Review Voucher (VERV) Program, enacted in US law in December 2023, which rewards manufacturers of new public health insecticides with expedited approval for a second, potentially more profitable product.

VECTRON™ T500, developed by Mitsui Chemicals Crop & Life Solutions with TENEBENAL™, achieved WHO pre-qualification, marking the world’s first meta-diamide active ingredient (IRAC Group 30) for vector control.

The initiative helps African countries access (alternative) funding and delivery channels for vector control tools. Partnerships with CHAI, MSH, and Mentor Initiative support scaling efforts.

IVCC's Project BITE feasibility study showed that forest packs with bite prevention tools could impact public health. Trials conducted in Thailand by UCSF, AFRIMS, and Kasetsart University.

Since 2019, IVCC has funded the NATNAT programme in PNG, building capacity for rapid evaluation and adoption of vector control tools.

IVCC supported Sumitomo Chemical in developing SumiShield® 50WG IRS, a new tool for managing resistance. This product, prequalified by WHO, offers a breakthrough in indoor residual spraying.

IVCC supported the development of Bayer’s Fludora™ Fusion IRS, tested against resistant mosquito strains and various surfaces, leading to its WHO Pre-Qualification.

BASF’s Interceptor® G2, developed with IVCC, became the first dual-active ingredient ITN and the first new class of chemistry for ITNs in over 30 years, receiving WHO Pre-Qualification.
