Leo Smedley

Smedley’s role involves providing professional and strategically focussed accounting and management support. She is responsible for acting as a dedicated finance contact to IVCC and its diverse network of internal and external stakeholders. She is also responsible for coordinating and maximising the effectiveness of IVCC’s managed services functions through the provision of accurate and timely financial information for planning, reporting and compliance purposes. She is a member of IVCC’s Leadership Team. Smedley graduated with a BA(Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and is a fully-qualified accountant by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She joined the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine as a Senior Management Accountant with responsibility for the group’s UK subsidiaries and overseas entities. Her previous appointments include statutory finance directorships and board membership of two SMEs and Audit Manager at two Global Accountancy Firms, specialising in complex audit and reporting engagements that included a portfolio of AiM listed groups.
