In her role as Senior Technical Manager, Janneke is responsible for managing laboratory and field trials designed to support product development projects. She works closely with IVCC’s network of collaborating trials facilities in Africa and the UK and provides technical support across IVCC’s operations with a specific focus on the ITN portfolio.
Janneke holds a BSc and MSc in Biology from Wageningen University, with a specialisation in bio-interactions, and is currently undertaking a PhD in Medical Entomology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Between 2015-2020, Janneke worked as a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and as a Study Director in the GLP compliant KCMUCo-PAMVERC Test Facility on laboratory and field trials of IRS and ITN products in Moshi, Tanzania. She has previously worked at Wageningen University, focusing on the evaluation of repellents and impregnated textiles against malaria mosquitoes and at In2Care BV in the R&D team, leading semi-field studies evaluating mosquito control tools in East-Africa.
