Jon is a Board Trustee Member at IVCC and sits on the Finance and Investment Committee. He holds Non-Executive Director positions with Seddon Group (Chairman), EA Technology, Haulfryn Group Limited and DSW Capital and is a Trustee of The Wirral Youth Zone. He is also Chairman of The Neston Club.
After graduating from the University of Sheffield, Jon joined KPMG in 1982 qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1985. Jon joined a Private Equity backed Management Buyout in 1994, before becoming a Corporate Finance Partner at Grant Thornton. Jon then became Chief Financial Officer at a UK PLC, listed on the London Stock Exchange. In 2002, he established his own advisory firm, Dow Schofield Watts, which now operates across 11 offices in the UK. Previously he was Chairman of Dee Valley PLC prior to its sale to Severn Trent PLC. He also spent 12 years on the Board of The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine where he was Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Finance and Investment Committee.
