Alan is a Board of Trustees member at IVCC. He is also Senior Advisor to Ray Chambers, the World Health Organization Ambassador for Technology and Health Financing. Prior to this he was Senior Advisor to the Former UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Health in Agenda 2030 and for Malaria. He also currently chairs the Board of Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV).
Alan had a long career with UNICEF, where his roles included Country Director (Representative) in countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America as well as Director of Global Supply and Director of Global Programmes in Copenhagen and New York respectively. He also spent 8 years on UNICEFs Financial Advisory Committee. He continues to hold various positions on different Boards in various fields of endeavour.
Alan graduated with a master’s degree in Rural Social Development from AERDC-Reading University.
