Elizabeth is a Board of Trustees member at IVCC and the End Malaria Council National Coordinator at the ministry of health Zambia and the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA). She also sits as Co-Chair on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Malaria Strategic Advisory Panel and was appointed to the RBM Partnership Board in 2020. Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery and a Higher Diploma in District Health Management from the University of Zambia and a Master of Public Health from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has had a long career at the Ministry of Health Zambia, working up to the role of Director of the National Malaria Elimination Centre in Zambia. Here she coordinated all elimination efforts in Zambia. Previous to this she held the roles of Director of Disease Surveillance, Control and Research, Director of Technical Support Services and Deputy Director of Public Health and Research for Malaria. Elizabeth started her career as a medical officer, before coordinating health for the Kitwe and Kalulushi districts. In 2018 she was both an Advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO) and Co-Chair for the Technical Consultation on Universal Access to Core Malaria Interventions.
