Natalie (She/Her) is a medical entomologist and technical manager at IVCC. Specifically, her work focuses on Anophelesmosquito behaviour, with a focus on new tools for malaria vector control. She is committed to promoting equality and inclusion in STEM and fostering a workplace culture that celebrates diversity.
Natalie completed her PhD at the Liverpool School of Tropical medicine, UK. Her thesis explored the sub-lethal effects of pyrethroid exposure on Anopheles life-history traits and behaviour, with a focus on the efficacy of insecticidal bednets. The project drew upon field work, conducted in southwestern Burkina Faso. Prior to working at IVCC, Natalie worked at LSTM, in collaboration with Innovation to Impact (i2i), in the identification, design and validation of vector control product evaluation methods. Developing SOPs for durability monitoring methodologies for next-generation bednets.
