In the role of Field Entomologist, Renaud oversees laboratory and field trials to support vector control product development projects with IVCC partners. Within the technical team, he works closely with industry partners, collaborating research facilities and other stakeholders to ensure that sponsored studies are conducted efficiently and to the required standard.
Renaud holds a MSc and PhD in Medical Entomology with a wealth of experience in the conduct of malaria vector control tool registration evaluations in laboratory, semi-field and community settings. Before joining IVCC, Renaud worked as a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and as a Study Director in the GLP compliant CREC/LSHTM Test Facility on laboratory and field trials of IRS and ITN products. He also previously held technical and advisory positions with important organisations such as the US PMI VectorLink project and the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
