Sue Russell is a solicitor who, over a 40-year career, has specialised in mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. She is a Consultant to Hill Dickinson LLP, an international law firm based in Liverpool, which also has offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Piraeus, Monaco, Hong Kong and Singapore. Sue has previously served on the Board of Hill Dickinson.
Sue has advised public and private companies in the UK and overseas, principally in relation to acquisitions and disposals (M&A), and also with strategic commercial advice.
Sue graduated from the University of Sheffield with a law degree and holds the Certificate in Corporate Finance from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Outside of business, her interests include choral singing, football, cricket, and family.
Sue is also a Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and Chair of LSTM’s Audit Committee, Nominations & Governance Committee and Remuneration Committee and the Board Champion for GDPR.
