IVCC representatives met with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases in London this month. Our CEO, Communications Director, and Technical Director joined the meeting with APPG co-chairs Lauren Sullivan MP and Lord Trees to discuss the continuing fight against malaria.
The meeting provided an opportunity to share IVCC’s work as a Product Development Partnership, and to demonstrate how UK investment is helping deliver innovative vector control tools in sub-Saharan Africa. Discussions also highlighted the multiplying effect of donor contributions—how UK support leverages wider international funding to extend impact—and the additional economic benefits to the UK through job creation, research expertise, and knowledge exchange.
IVCC values the engagement of the APPG in championing malaria elimination and looks forward to continued collaboration with parliamentarians to sustain momentum in tackling this preventable disease.
